As one of China’s key universitiesunder the direct leadership of the Ministry of Education, CUFE enjoys thepatronage of both the central and municipal governments, including the Ministryof Education, the Ministry of Finance, and Beijing municipal government. In 2017,CUFE was selected into the Double First Class Initiative, a national projectwith the goal of fostering world standards in China’s universities. Theuniversity is also listed in Project 211. In addition, CUFE is among the firstuniversities to enter Project 985 Innovation Platform, whose objective is topromote scientific research of high-priority areas in the fields’ topinstitutions. The university’s applied economics is ranked No.1 by the Ministryof Education (hereafter MOE) in the latest round of national academicevaluation in 2017. It was the only university in the field of finance andeconomics rated A+.

CUFE is in prime location of Beijing, the capital of China.

Central University of Finance and Economics - International Chinese Language TeachersScholarshipis a scholarship program jointly established by Central University of Financeand Economics and MOE’s Center for Language Education and Cooperation in 2019.The scholarship provides funding for four master’s programs: Chinese +Finance,Chinese + Asset Valuation, Chinese + International Business, and Chinese +Engineering and Project Management. Offered in Chinese, the 2-year master’sscholarship program plans to admit 60 students in total in 2021, with 15 ineach of the four programs. International students interested in pursuing afuture career in the field of finance and economics are encouraged to apply.

 

Eligibility

Applicants shall be

a) non-Chinese citizens

b) in good physical and mentalcondition, with good academic performance and conduct

c) between the ages of 16-35 as of September 1st, 2021

 

Qualifications

Applicants shall have

a) a valid bachelor’s degree (orexpected to graduate before July 1^st,2021)

b) a minimum score of 210 on theHSK Test (Level 5)

a) Log on to International Chinese Language Teachers ScholarshipWebsite (cis.chinese.cn), choose Cooperative International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship

b) Select recommending institution,select Chinese + Vocational Training (Master’s)

c) Select your desired major(Finance/ Asset Valuation / International Business/ Engineering and ProjectManagement)

d) Select Central University ofFinance of Economics

 

Application Period

March 1, 2021 – May 15, 2021

 

Required Documents

a) A scanned copy of passport photopage

b) A scanned copy of score reportsof the HSK test (within the two-year validity)

c) A scanned copy of bachelordegree’s diploma (or certificate of expected graduation)

d) Scanned copies of officialtranscripts

e) A personal statement

f) Two letters of recommendation(priority will be given to applicants who may provide a work contract orrelevant proof upon completing their studies in China)

g) English language certificate,award certificates, or any other supporting documents (optional)

 

Selection Criteria

Applicants shall have a minimumscore of 210 of HSK Test (Level 5) and be proficient in academic Chinesereading and writing. Priority will be given to applicants

a) with strong learning andresearch abilities who have passed CUFE’s document review and performed well inthe academic interview

c) with solid background inmathematics who have completed relevant coursework in good grades duringundergraduate studies

d) with test results in Englishproficiency standardized tests (TOEFL, IELTS, BEC, etc) or with educationbackground in English

e) residing overseas/ with lettersof recommendation from Confucius Institutes
