Dear student,
Whether you are an undergraduate or a graduate student, regardless of the kinds of job you are applying to, writing a resume is a crucial part of job applications.
To help you improve the quality of resumes written, School of International Cultural Exchange (SICE) is now offering resume modification and career consultation services. From now to June 1, you are welcome to send your resume (in Chinese or English) to zhangdian@cufe.edu.cn with a headline of your Chinese name +resume. We will invite experienced professors as well as Human Resource specialists from prestigious companies to provide guidance on how to revise your resume.
You are advised to make the following preparations prior to writing your resume:
1.Go through resume templates on the Internet, choose one that fits you the best and build on it.
2.Put in a prominent position on the resume the job position you are interested in applying to (the recruiter does not know which position you are applying for as many applications are received every day).
3.Comb through your educational background, language abilities, and internship experiences to highlight those that match the target company’s hiring needs.
4.Limit your resume to one page of A4-sized paper. Statistics tells us that a recruitment specialist has only a little over ten seconds to read a resume, therefore you must write as succinctly as possible.
If you have any questions, confusion, valuable experiences, or simply want to share your job application stories, you are welcome to send an e-mail to the address listed above with a title of your Chinese name +employment consultation. We will share stories and answer your questions.
We wish you best of luck in your study and find your dream job.
