International Students from SICE Participating in Beijing Mandarin Tongue Twisters Short Video Contest
Recently, Mandarin Tongue Twisters’ Short Video Contest of 'Twister' Star Competition" and "Foreigners show Chinese” was held in Beijing, launched by the Beijing Chinese Network. Many universities have organized international students to participate in the contest, so does our University. A total of 13 international students from SICE took part in the competition.
The contest was divided into three groups, i.e. primary, intermediate and advanced level. There were six and seven of our international students whom were respectively engaged in the competition of the intermediate and advanced groups. The competition was at the online voting stage.
The contest’s aim was to check the ability of the participants to "speak" Chinese, by using the short video as displayer, and experts and public as the judges; and also to encourage the amateurs of Chinese language from different countries, different colors, with different native languages to show the most exciting part of themselves.
