CUFE was approved by MOE to become "Chinese Institutions of Higher Learning to admit International Students under Chinese Government Scholarship Programs"

At the end of the year, CUFE has received good news about the international students’ education in CUFE. On December 29, 2007, CUFE was approved to become "Chinese Institutions of Higher learning to Admit International Students under Chinese Government Scholarship Programs" by the International Division of the Ministry of Education. Our university is now one of the Chinese universities accepting foreign students. This is a historical event for the CUFE.

     Up to now, a total of 119 colleges and universities were approved by the Ministry of Education to accept international students under the Chinese Government Scholarship.

   Since the 1950s CUFE recruited the first group of foreign students; it has been 50 years now. We have given strong and useful knowledge and cultivated a number of outstanding talents. In our university, the number of graduate international students has reached more than 1,200. In recent years, the number of international students in our school is growing rapidly, there are nearly 300 students coming each year to study in our school.

    To promote the development of the students’ education and to attract more students, SICE, on behalf of the university, has expressed its will to Ministry of Education to accept Chinese Government Scholarship students.

    After the Ministry of Education’s assessment, our university has received high appraisal and recognition from the Ministry of Education, and was ultimately approved by the Ministry of Education, to become "Chinese Institutions of Higher Learning to Admit International Students under Chinese Government Scholarship Programs". This will greatly promote the development of education of foreign students. In the foreseeable future, the quantity and quality of foreign students in our school will leap on to a new level, our school education will open a new chapter.
