International Students Participated in the “2013 Foreign Friends Walking around Kunming Lake”
Co-sponsored and organized by the Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the Foreign Affairs Office of Beijing Municipal People's Government and other institutions, the “2013 Foreign Friends Walking around Kunming Lake” was held in the scenic Summer Palace on the afternoon of October 26, 2013. The theme of this Long Walk was "Healthy Walk, Beautiful Beijing", which emphasized on science and enjoyment. The purpose of this long walk was not to be seen as a competition, but as a moment of relaxation. The participants enjoyed the beauty of the harmony between man and nature, and a great pleasure. More than 30 international students from SICE attended that event, who all said that such activities were not only an opportunity to exercise the body, but also to enjoy the beautiful scenery, which is very meaningful. Chen Fangxiu, a Vietnamese undergraduate student from Finance Class10, participated in that long walk every year when she studied in CUFE. She is about to graduate next year; she said that this is the last participation in that event, and she really liked it.
The event has been held for twelve years, and SICE organizes our international students to participate every year. This year our school won the "Outstanding Organization Award" again.
