“GATS & Financial Services” hosted by “EU-China Trade Project” and CUFE
Hosted by CUFE and EU-China Trade Project on December 5 and 6, EU-China Workshop on GATS & Financial Services was successfully concluded at Financial Street Ritz Carlton Hotel. The Vice President of CUFE, Dr. Li JunSheng, attended the opening ceremony and made welcome speech. The associate Dean of School of International Cultural Exchange (CUFE), Dr. Zhang Qikun, chaired the opening ceremony.

Mr. Javier Arribas Quintana, the Counsellor of Delegation of the European Commission in China, Mr. Nikolai Putscher, the Commercial Counsellor of Embassy of Germany at P.R.C, Mr. Sergio Balibrea, the Counsellor of Delegation of the European Commission in International Organizations in Genevese and Mr. Li Zhongzhou, the Chief Expert of EU-China Trade Project attended the workshop. The delegates came from the Ministry of Commerce, the People’s Bank of China, China Securities Regulatory Commission, China Insurance Regulatory Commission, China Banks Regulatory Commission and other related department attended the workshop.
Vice President Li Junsheng briefly introduced to delegates the university’s history, the development of national key disciplines and internationalization and then addressed a speech on the matters of Chinese new economic situation, the relation ship of WTO with China’s financial service market and the regulation of financial industry.

Top experts in finance industry who had rich international practice experiences gave lectures in turn, such as Mr. Pierre Sauve, the Counsellor of Research Institute of World Bank, Mr. Antoine Van Cauwenberg, the Counsellor of the Chairman Commission of Europe Security Regulators, Mr. Sergio Balibrea, the Counsellor of Delegation of the European Commission in International Organizations in Genevese, Mr. Nikolai Putscher, the Commercial Counsellor of Embassy of Germany at P.R.C and Mr. Hong Xiaodong, Chief of Service Trade Office of Department of WTO Affairs of Ministry of Commerce.
