Confucius Institute Scholarship Master’s Program in
Chinese + Finance/ + MPAcc/+International Business/ + Engineering and Project Management
As one of China’s key universities under the direct leadership of the Ministry of Education, CUFE enjoys the patronage of both the central and municipal governments, including the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance, and Beijing municipal government. In2017, CUFE was selected into the Double First Class Initiative, a national project with the goal of fostering world standards in China’s universities. The university is also listed in Project 211. In addition, CUFE is among the first universities to enter Project 985 Innovation Platform, whose objective is to promote scientific research of high-priority areas in the fields’ top institutions. The university’s applied economics is ranked No.1 by the Ministry of Education in the latest round of national academic evaluation in 2017. It was the only university in the field of finance and economics rated A+.CUFE is in prime location of Beijing, the capital of China.
Central University of Finance and Economics -Confucius Institute Scholarshipis a scholarship program jointly established by Central University of Finance and Economics and Confucius Institute Headquarters(Hanban) in 2019. The scholarship provides funding for four master’s programs: Chinese +Finance, Chinese + MPAcc, Chinese + International Business, and Chinese + Engineeringand Project Management. Offered in Chinese, the 2-year master’s scholarship program plans to admit 60 students in total, with 15 in each of the four programs. Applicants interested in pursuing a future career in the field of finance andeconomics are encouraged to apply.
Eligibility
Applicants shall be
a) non-Chinese citizens
b) in good physical and mental condition, with good academic performance and conduct
c) betweenthe ages of 16-35 as of September 1st, 2019
Qualifications
Applicants shall have
a) a valid bachelor’s degree (or expected to graduate before Sept. 1st,2019)
b) a minimum score of 210 on the HSK Test (Level 5) and 60 on the HSKK test(Intermediate Level)

b) Select recommending institution, select Chinese + Vocational Training (Master’s)
c) Select your desired major (Finance/ MPAcc/ International Business/ Engineering and Project Management)
d) Select Central University of Finance of Economics

Required Documents
a) A scanned copy of passport photo page
b) A scanned copy of score reports of the HSK and HSKK tests (within the two-year validity)
c) A scanned copy of bachelor degree’s diploma (or certificate of expected graduation)
d) Scanned copies of official transcripts
e) A personal statement
f) Two letters of recommendation (priority will be given to applicants who may provide a work contract or relevant proof upon completing their studies in China)
g) English language certificate, award certificates, or any other supporting documents(optional)
Selection Criteria
Applicants shall have a minimum score of 210 on the HSK Test (Level 5) and 60 on the HSKKtest (Intermediate Level) and be proficient in academic Chinese reading andwriting. Priority will be given to applicants
a) with strong learning and research abilities who have passed CUFE’s document reviewand performed well in the academic interview
c) with solid background in mathematics who have completed relevant coursework in good gradesduring undergraduate studies
d) with test results in English proficiency standardized tests (TOEFL, IELTS, BEC, etc)or with education background in English
e) residing overseas/ with letters of recommendation from Confucius Institutes
